ACNT offers their courses through distance education. This enables students who are not able to attend classes on campus due to geography, health issues or work commitments to take advantage of Australia's leading online learning platform for health and wellbeing education.

ACNT offers courses by distance education using the 'directed learning' model. The 'directed learning' model is where students receive a study guide that directs them through each of their modules. This study guide becomes the 'Virtual Lecturer' diecting students through each lesson. Further to this, students will have access to an online community of fellow students and learning resources.  ACNT has made every effort to ensure that distance education students feel part of the ACNT community.

Distance Education students receive support from a dedicated team in both academic and non-academic capacities with one central contact point. Students can contact the ACNT Distance Education Student Support team at anytime from anywhere around the world by email, telephone, fax, or mail with one single point of contact.

Due to the timely nature of electronic correspondence and for the ease of students, distance education students are strongly advised to have access to a computer with email and internet capabilities.

Although distance education students can complete their studies without ever coming to the campus, ACNT's distance education students have access to ACNT's world class facilities.
