What is a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy)?

The Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) teaches a system of healthcare that is based on traditional philosophies and principles and uses a wide variety of tools and techniques to achieve optimal health for a patient.

In this Naturopathy degree, you will learn how to understand the body and disease processes, holistically assess functional disturbances and apply herbal, nutritional and lifestyle medicines and traditional naturopathic techniques to stimulate healing. You will become a client-centred practitioner using evidence-based practice to inform clinical-decision making ensuring an individualised, safe and effective practice approach.

The program has a comprehensive compulsory in-person attendance work-integrated learning program that allows students to develop practical skills in herbal manufacturing, and all aspects of clinical practice. You will gain hands-on experience at our custom-built student-led clinic, The Practice Wellbeing Centre, where student practitioners consult with members of the public under the guidance of experienced naturopaths. This will prepare you to confidently start practising in the community.
