This course continues to arouse the senses by teaching you to apply advanced application skills for the treatment of common disorders. Develop your aromatherapy training for the aged and infirm, pregnancy, labour and infancy and reflexology. Then discover advanced modules that deal with the aromatherapy treatment for organ systems and advanced prescribing techniques. Apply everything you've learnt through one-on-one treatments of paying clients under close supervision in the ACNT Student Clinic.

Working as an Aromatherapist is a chance to relate your detailed understanding of essential oils to boost health and wellbeing in a holistic way. Think relaxation techniques, aromatherapy massage, and the treatment of respiratory and skin complaints. Understanding the aromatic components of essential oils is the first step. 100 Advanced Aromatherapy Treatment builds on the subject Aromatherapy Treatment to further develop assessment and case taking skills. You will learn how to choose specific essential oils based on their chemical components and their ability to treat common disease states in a wide range of people. Clinic guidelines and set-up including case taking and monitoring skills will be developed to give the Aromatherapy practitioner confidence with a wide range of Aromatherapy applications. |

68 This subject will provide students with the knowledge and skills required to implement research relevant to Aromatherapy practice. You will learn how to prepare a research plan, implement appropriate research strategies, organise & analyse information, and report on research findings pertaining to the study area of Aromatherapy. Students will also learn how to collect, compare and analyse information on different complementary health modalities and how these modalities can be utilised within the health care environment for the benefit of the client. |

Advanced Aromatherapy Clinic |
54 Students are required to complete a set number of hours in a ‘real-life’ clinical setting. Student will see a range of clients with various client needs, and be required to perform advanced assessments and treatments according to presenting conditions; including prescription and dispensary of Aromatherapy oils. The skills and knowledge obtained in the above subjects will be co-assessed by the clinic supervisor and through completion of the ‘self-reflective’ Workbooks. |
